During our trip to California we stayed at Glen Oaks Big Sur, as I mentioned in my previous blogpost. I think it is worth an extended blogpost with great pictures of one of the most beautiful resorts I’ve ever stayed.
It was the 3rd stop on our trip along the highway. Big Sur really is my favorite part of the Highway One and everything in Big Sur is magical. If I ever go on a honeymoon, I want to go to Big Sur. The nature is just overwhelming and the coastline is beautifully raw.
I stayed in the Adobe Motor Lodge Fireside King Room. What I loved so much about Glen Oaks is that everything is so unaffected and set up in a natural environment: the colors are natural, a lot of windows so you can see the forest and all natural materials. We had a see-through fireplace and the bathroom was so luxurious. We went for a little hike around the resort and we hiked through the amazing redwood trees and along the Big Sur River. Walking in the forest in the afternoon sun was just enchanting. After we had dinner at Nepenthe we sat outside at the fireplace and it was so cosy. Glen Oaks Big Sur is one of the most beautiful gems Big Sur has.
